Great views and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service and delicious food at the Japanese restaurant. Lovely surprise with roses for our anniversary. Convenient pick-up service during a heavy rainstorm. Beautiful location by Sun Moon Lake and enjoyable walking track. Top-notch pool and friendly staff.

During this trip, we stayed in 7 different hotels. Six of the hotels are 5 stars b/w Taiwan and China; however, the Lalu stands out among them. The service staffs are excellent, they are attentive and polite. Also, Lalu has the best view of the lake. It was a breath taking view from the room, we enjoyed every moments during our stay. By the way, their breakfast buffet and spa service are impressive. If we go back again, definitely will stay here, even though it's expensive, but it's totally worth it.

We had Chinese style dinner at the hotel. It's disappointing, the short ribs were very dry, only took couple bits...the rest was too tough to eat.

The relaxed atmosphere and the views. Japanese restaurant was very good service and food. The breakfast was very good, also. Manager left roses for our anniversary ...that was a very nice thing to do. Thank you.

Cost was higher than it should gave been for what you got. Will not return until better pricing is available.

The hotel's Chinese restaurant leaves much to be desired in terms of service and atmosphere.

Located by the serene lakeshore, this hotel offers a peaceful getaway with easy access to the jogging footpath by the lake. the spacious rooms have comfortable bedding and modern amenities, with some offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. the professional and attentive staff provide excellent service throughout the property, while the breakfast buffet offers a good variety of dishes to start the day right. the hotel provides impressive facilities like the refreshing swimming pool, and the invigorating spa services.

One downside of the hotel is that some of the common areas and decor could use an update to match the luxurious amenities and beautiful views.

The hotel had a great location with stunning views. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. We also really appreciated receiving complementary water and fruit during our stay.

The check-in process was very inefficient and we had to wait over an hour to be taken to our room. It was frustrating that none of the staff seemed to notice us waiting in the lobby.

I had a great stay at Lalu Hotel. The location was fine, with amazing views of the lake. My room wasnice and neat, with a beautiful design that combined western and eastern elements. The outdoor infinity pool was a highlight, offering a peaceful and relaxing experience. The library was a nice touch, with a good selection of books, including some Japanese comics. One of the best parts of my stay was the perfect service. The staff were very good too ensure a pleasant experience, especially when I accidentally left my passport and wallet in the safe. They quickly and magically managed to send them to my hotel in Taipei within hours. I highly recommend Lalu Hotel for its superb location, amazing views, and excellent service.

The hotel amenities were dated, and the atmosphere felt stale and ghastly. the food at the Chinese restaurant was mediocre, with luke-warm dishes and salty desserts.

Cons: the only minor issue we encountered was with the restaurant, which was not up to par with other five-star establishments. Although the food was good, it could have been more refined, and the staff seemed undertrained and inattentive. this was a minor issue in an otherwise truly wonderful experience at this hotel.
